Picked this up at Trader Joe’s for $8.99. It’s not half bad.

Got this local Pilsner. Dunno how I feel about craft pilsner.
I’ve got white trash taste when it comes to beer.

Pilsners are an interesting breed. The thing is, a good pilsner will remind you a little bit of Budweiser. The big distinction is that a quality pilsner will focus on the cereal flavors of whatever barley was on the grain bill. A good pilsner in my opinion should be both refreshing as well as interesting in character. Always pale in color, hardly hopped, usually low in abv but almost peppery in flavor.

Willet Bourbon, Boone County Tanner’s Curse (white dog), and Boone County single barrel 12 year aged bourbon. I live in Kentucky if you couldn’t tell...

I have been wanting to try what southerners call GOOD Kentucky bourbon. Makers mark is the extent of what I know. I watched an Anthony Bourdain episode in Kentucky and he got fucking plastered on some quality shit. I didn’t realize there is much that isn’t available easily outside of Kentucky.

It’s not terrible just different than I expected. I can see it being really good if it was very cold on it was hot out.

Craft pilsner throws me for a loop. A semi-local brewpub has one and I can’t shake the impression that its just a“fancy” Coors/Bud for $6.50/pint. Double the price and I’ll just take a 30-bomb of the real deal.
Note: I’m drunk off Dogfish 120 Minute IPA and a variety of Ommegang right now. I
might
be a beer snob.

IPA I can’t do. Dark Ale is about as strong as I can handle.
I’m on a tall can of Bud Light right now so don’t think I know what I’m talking about.
